Your employee ambassadors are the lifeblood of your advocacy program, which is why providing training and support is only going to improve its performance and guarantee success. Ambassify helps you train your employees by providing in-app training with courses with two main features: the Content Catalog and the campaign bundles.

Training your employees is really important when starting a new employee advocacy program. Advocacy is a journey, as we like to remind our customers, and every good journey must start with the necessary preparation.

Now, many people might already be fully equipped to get started, but that’s not true for everyone. That’s why Ambassify has developed specific ways to help customers train their employees to become true brand ambassadors. Our goal is to provide the right support — no matter what level employees are on — and make sure that every potential advocate gets what they need to start their own advocacy journey and grow into their roles as company ambassadors.

Ambassify helps you train your employees by providing in-app training with courses, each dedicated to a specific topic—from platform usage to social media tips and tricks and more. Our in-app training relies on two main features: the content catalog and the campaign bundles.

How to use the Content Catalog for employee training

The Content Catalog is an online library of ready-made campaigns that community managers can use and share with their employee ambassadors. It contains a huge number of campaigns, all revolving around different topics and use cases. Our creative team has crafted each one to inspire our customers (or rather, their community managers) and make their lives easier when creating content for their communities.

Why is the Catalog a training resource, though? It also contains a vast array of training campaigns, namely, campaigns that you can use to educate your employees about a specific topic. The topics we have covered so far are aimed at answering our customers’ most asked questions and providing their ambassadors with hands-on best practices, guidance, and tips to fulfill their duties as ambassadors. The library, however, is always growing and changing, with new content — and new educational campaigns — being added all the time.

The Content Catalog works super easily: community managers can access it whenever they want to create a new campaign for their community. Simply browse the catalog and pick the campaign you want. Editing and personalizing the text is always possible, and otherwise, you can set it live immediately!

Available educational topics on the content catalog

  • Basic Platform Training. These campaigns cover all the basics, leaving nothing to chance, from how to navigate the platform to recapping what it means to be an ambassador. These include campaigns about:
    • Getting started with Ambassify
    • How to use the platform
    • Sharing your first post
    • How to be a good ambassador
  • Advocacy Training. These campaigns can be further personalized to fit the company’s specific goals and ambitions regarding advocacy. They include:
    • Do’s and don’ts of advocacy
    • Oversharing risks
    • Benefits of social media activity for the company
  • Social Media Skills. These campaigns are focused on the most used social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X). They include practical and tangible tips and recommended practices to improve one’s skills on social media and gain confidence in sharing content. These include campaigns about:
    • Optimizing LinkedIn profile
    • Improving post quality
    • Scheduling strategies
    • Creating an Instagram business profile
    • Writing your own posts
  • Common Customer-Specific Content. These campaigns don’t need much personalization from the customer but will benefit from industry- or company-specific guidelines. They include common best practices such as:
    • Welcome & Introduction
    • Social media guidelines
    • Company values overview

How to use campaign bundles to provide personalized course training to your employees

In Ambassify, you can bundle campaigns together to create fully-fledged courses for employees to follow around a specific topic. A group of campaigns will then be presented to the employees as a course, where campaigns need to be completed in a specific order; finishing one campaign unlocks the following until the course is completed. Ambassadors can see a progress bar on each course, indicating the completion percentage of each one.

When you’re creating a bundle (or a course), you can either pick a series of campaigns from our Content Catalog, or you can create your own training campaign from scratch (or a mix of both).

Other features that can support your employee training

Ambassify also offers other features to support your training efforts. These deserve an honorable mention since their role is only secondary in the in-app training but nonetheless useful to make your employees’ experience more personal.

Sort and organize content with custom tabs

Custom tabs allow you to organize campaigns (and courses) in the community so that they’re easier to find for the ambassadors. In the context of training, you can create tabs to separate the training content from the advocacy content or even create a tab per topic to sort your campaigns better.

Make campaigns available to a limited audience with audience segmentation

Audience segmentation allows you to basically make certain campaigns available to a limited group of advocates. The segmentation criteria can be defined on Ambassify, and you can make them as broad or as specific as you’d like.

When training your employees to become ambassadors, segmenting the audience of regular advocacy campaigns could help ensure that only members who have completed the training can actually share that kind of content. This avoids confusion, frustrations, or mix-ups when browsing the campaigns available in the community.

Your employee ambassadors are the lifeblood of your advocacy program, which is why providing training and support is only going to improve its performance and guarantee success. Ambassify is there with you every step of the way to guide you along your journey and support you and your needs.
